Lakewood Homes for Sale

Welcome to the Lakewood homes for sale community, not to be confused with Lakewood Washington located down by Tacoma and Steilacoom. This Lakewood is located north in the Arlington area of Snohomish County and part of the Smokey Point/Lakewood unincorporated area.

This North Lakewood area is just west of downtown Arlington, east of Lake Goodwin, and north of the Tulalip Indian Reservation considered part of the greater Smoky Point community. It’s been called Lakewood since the turn of the 20th century but changed after the Pierce County community of the same name incorporated into the City of Lakewood in 1996.

To alleviate the problem, in 1998, the Postal Service granted the Pierce County community the rights to use “Lakewood Washington” since it was now an incorporated city and change the Snohomish County community name to North Lakewood. This allowed the Snohomish County community to keep its post office and since 2005, the portion of North Lakewood located inside the urban growth boundary has been a part of the city of Marysville even though it’s technically closer to Arlington.Lakewood Homes for Sale

Regardless, the Lakewood area is primarily centered around the Lakewood school district, a smaller school district with excellent ratings, reviews, academics, and educational programs. This district has one high school [pictured], which is undergone massive renovations and a new building since 2017, the Lakewood middle school, and three elementary schools, the Lakewood Elementary, English Crossing Elementary, and cougar Creek elementary.

The Lakewood district is technically on the west side of I-5 and stretches to Lake good one and the border of Stanwood. Lakewood has a lot of homes surrounding the many lakes including Lake Kai, Lake Goodwin, Lake Loma and Crabapple Lake. For those looking for lakefront property, the Lakewood area is a great place to start your search.

Lakewood is also ideal for finding homes on a little bit of acreage. You’ll find older homes dating back to the 1950s on lots up to 5 acres as well as brand-new homes on larger 1 acre lots along Fire Trl., Road.

Residents are just minutes to the shops, markets, restaurants, and other commercial and industrial services at the intersection of 172nd St. NE. and Interstate 5. This is where most of the amenities are that serve the Lakewood community.

The Lakewood Landing is also located just north of 172nd St. NE., featuring a large residential community with three and four-bedroom homes on smaller lots of less than 5000 ft.² and reasonably priced homes from $280,000-$400,000.
